NHL Draft hits home for STL

So the NHL Draft isn’t the NFL Draft and we understand that the masses aren’t likely to go out to a restaurant or bar to watch the NHL draft (granted if you did, The Post Sports Bar & Grill would have been the place to be), but if you’re a hockey fan and you’re from St.Louis you can be proud about our fine city. There were only 12 Americans drafted in the first round and five of them come from St.Louis. We’ve always been a hockey town, but the rest of the country is apparently taking notice in that as well!
Unfortunately we lost Brian Elliot in a trade for a 2nd round pick in return (and a conditional 3rd rounder depending on what Calgary does with him). Brian… if you’re out there we salute you for a phenomenal season (and career) here in STL. You deserve to be a #1 goaltender somewhere. And if you weren’t able to make it this year, hopefully you can come join us for Post National Brian Day Next year on June 3rd.
