The Comedy Central is back in full swing after years of being a strong division. That’s good news for those that want to see the sub-.500 Redbirds hang onto a chance at winning the division, but bad news for those that feel the Cardinals aren’t very good and should pull the plug to focus on the future. The Cardinals head to eastern Pennsylvania to play MLB doormat Philadelphia Phillies, then roll back to Busch to play divisional doormats Pittsburgh Pirates and a make-up game against the Cincinnati Reds. That’s 7 very winnable games lined up before 6 in a row against NL juggernauts Washington Nationals and Arizona Diamondbacks next week.

It’s an interesting season no matter how you look at it as the Cardinals haven’t been in a position to be sellers this early in a season in a very long time. You can bet there will be moves made, either to make a playoff push or to set up for next season and beyond.
