The NL wild card contenders are lucky because the NL wild card contenders aren’t that great. Losing is not the end of the world in this particular race, it’s almost the norm. Take last night where the Cardinals, after winning two night games in a row, were all set to pull the patented day-loss of game 3 of a series to avoid sweeping a bad team. But, rest assured we can count on the Giants weeks-long slide and the amazing glove of one Ender Inciarte!! He literally pulled back a Yoenis Cespedes 3-run walk-off dinger in the ninth to finish off the sweep of the Mets by the Braves! A walk-off, homer-robbing catch to keep the wild card race in a 3-way tie, are you serious??!!
