Wow, the U.S. is just cranking out athletic heroes in Brazil! Some new and some solidifying their legacy, so standing ovations for Phelps, Ledecky, and the women’s gymnastics dream team! If you’ve never seen the summer games at a sports bar, come give it a try! With all our tv’s on simultaneously, all you have to do is spin around in your chair and you’ll see almost all the sports Rio has to offer without changing a channel! Team USA basketball plays perhaps the new second best team in the tournament, Australia, tonight. It’s Kyrie Irving vs. his old mate and new Milwaukee Bucks guard Matthew Dellavedova. The game starts at 5pm but the live action from Brazil will be on all day and night! Come Post Up whenever you’re free and in a patriotic mood. All that matters from last night’s baseball game is that Alex Reyes came in and cleaned house for an inning. Well, the standings matter too, but the Cardinals are objectively only a game out of the second wild card spot, so let’s close our eyes to their recent play and pretend like they’re just a team a game out of the playoffs that just added a 102 mph arm in their bullpen for cheap!! That’s exciting! And they play every day this week including tonight against one of the best teams since the All-Star break, the Reds. Yes, the Reds have been legit for a couple of weeks, and it’s time for the Cardinals to play up to their opponent, ‘cuz the even hotter Cubs are hosting the birds for a 4-game series in Chicago starting Thursday, so building a game’s worth of momentum will do the team some good.
